Josh Brown

Owner/Personal Trainer/Professional Fighter/Martial Arts Instructor

I am a son, brother, husband, father of three, as well as a certified personal trainer, professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter, and Jeet Kune Do instructor.  I began my amateur mixed martial arts competition career in 2008 and made my professional MMA debut in July of 2012.  I am a Jeet Kune Do instructor under Dr. Dan Mikeska.  To further my knowledge in the fitness world and to aid others who are seeking guidance to help improve their own fitness, I became a certified personal trainer.  I have constantly kept myself involved in fitness.  I have competed in distance running, multiple track and field events, football, basketball, and was a collegiate baseball player.  My life is constantly surrounded by fitness.  In 2012, my passion for fitness became my career.

My goals for my clients:

My goal is to help set SMART goals with my clients, and achieve those goals.  Whether your goal is weight loss, muscle gains, strength gains, improved martial arts abilities, or just an overall improvement in fitness level I am there for my clients.  My personal training clients each have individual needs and I prepare specific programs for each client based on their body's needs, their wants, and the goal(s) we set out to achieve together.  The martial arts students/clients I train each learn the basic principles to advanced techniques but I help the student/client mold what we learn to work for them.

My Training Experience:

I founded YOUnique Training LLC in 2013 and in the years since I have worked with a wide variety of clients with a wide range of needs.  I have worked with clients ages 8-76.  Beyond the typical strength gain and weight loss goals I have worked with many clients dealing with chronic pain and post physical therapy.  I have experience with clients with many special considerations including clients with aspergers, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, individuals with spinal fusions, and many others post physical therapy.
